Information about the guided tour
This outdoor discovery centre is located approximately 1850 meters above sea level, and can be explored accompanied by a guide. The guided tour begins at the start of the installed pathway, just across the road from the Juvasshytta parking lot. The trip on the walkway over Juvflye and the permafrost is approximately 1 kilometer. Here you learn about climate, history, geology and biology in the high mountains. It is approximately 2 kilometers to walk round trip. The trip ends in the spectacular ice tunnel in Juvfonne. Carved into the ice patch, it features a network of corridors and rooms – and also a cinema. The guided tour in Klimapark 2469 takes around 2 hours. It is important to dress warmly on a guided tour in Klimapark 2469. The ice tunnel holds around 26,6°F/-3°C. We recommend: a warm jacket and pants, preferably wind- and waterproof, a beanie and mittens, wool base layers and footwear suitable for mountain hiking, such as winter shoes or hiking boots. The weather in the high mountains can change rapidly, it can even snow in July. We encourage all our visitors to check the weather forecast in advance to ensure a safe trip. For example, you can search for "Juvasshytta" on yr.no. The road is private and owned by Juvasshytta. The road has has a toll fee, and you can pay for your passing at the parking lot at Juvasshytta. The drive will take about 45 minutes from Lom center to Juvasshytta, and you will drive the highest situated road in Norway. Cars with caravans are not allowed on the road, but campervans are allowed.

Follow road number 55 from Lom. Follow road signs to the Juvasshytta mountain lodge (Not Spiterstulen!). The drive takes about 45 minutes from Lom. You can also drive by bus from Lom center to Juvasshytta. For schedule and tickets: https://entur.no/
